Harrogate District Local Plan
Harrogate Borough Council held a Parish Councils Workshop in March to inform them of the progress of the new local plan for the District and other planning policy and sustainability issues in the District. The Borough Council is now undertaking public consultation on the new Local Plan, which will set out how the district should grow and develop to 2035. The Public Consultation on the Harrogate District Local Plan 2035 started on Monday 19th July 2015 for a period of six weeks. The Borough Council held a briefing meeting for Parish Councils on 9th July on the Issues and Options of the plan. The attached document is their presentation.

At the Public Meeting held in the Village Hall on 24th August 2015, those attending gave their overwhelming support to the Parish Council’s proposals to nominate 7 areas in the village as Local Green Spaces, to be preserved for their natural attributes and to be excluded from future potential development. Click on the links below to view the 7 documents submitted to Harrogate Borough Council before their deadline of 28th August. Maps of the areas are contained on the last page of each. Photographs shown at the meeting were also submitted, but are not included here. We now await HBC’s response.
